San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary, Irvine

Saturday, July 26 7:00AM – 9:00AM

Rise and shine for a peaceful summer morning Photowalk at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary, when soft light, quiet trails, and active wildlife offer the perfect setting to sharpen your photography skills. Guided by Scott Crawford, you’ll explore how to work with natural light at golden hour, refine your composition techniques, and learn how to approach wildlife photography ethically and effectively.

Objective

This session is designed for photographers who want to improve their ability to tell a visual story—whether focusing on birds in flight, light reflecting across the marsh, or the patterns of reeds and ripples. We’ll cover key camera settings for outdoor and wildlife photography, as well as techniques for shooting handheld vs. tripod, and how to adapt to rapidly changing lighting.
